GONDOLA LIFT
OPENING HOURS: 08:00 – 17:30
Gondola is the cabin lift that connects the town with the ski centre. It is an 8-seat (each cabin) facility that starts from the town (by Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko) and give you a lift to the actual ski zone within about 30 minutes the ride itself. Please note that delays due to queuing to get in the gondola might occur in peak times and periods within the winter season.
FIRST STATION: CHALIN VALOG
– some slopes available there to include a black one along with a coffee bar and a drag lift for mostly beginner skiers and snowboarders.
SECOND – LAST (TOP)- STATION: BANDERISHKA POLYANA
This is where the actual ski zone is and where the most of the lifts are located. You will also find our MEETING POINT there where to meet our Supervisor and meet your instructor there.
The Supervisor will help you further out with the group distribution and will introduce your ski/snowboard instructor to you. Our Supervisor is entirely on your disposal all day long in case would have any questions or need any further assistance related to the tuition or whatever else. The MEETING POINT is visibly signed and easy to find.
LUNCH AND COFFEE BREAK
A lot of restaurants and cafes are available on Bunderishka polyana where you can have lunch or make a coffee break.
SKI ROAD
The ski road is a 7 km track that starts from Banderitsa Polyana the second (top) stop of the Gondola lift and ends up next to the Gondola’s bottom station in the town.
It is a blue, easy and relaxing track that skiers use to reach the town and skip the gondola. The ski road is suitable also for beginner skiers and snowboarders due to its low difficulty. However, your instructor will advise you whether you can go for it as an alternative or better use the gondola lift back to the town.
ALTERNATIVE WAYS TO REACH THE SKI CENTRE AND AVOID LONG GONDOLA LIFT QUEUES
- By car in about 20 min. All day parking fee: 12 BGN;
- By the shuttle buses available at the gondola bottom station – you can use them showing a valid lift pass for the particular day.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Pirin 2000 Ski School & Hire can arrange a private one-way transportation for you to the ski zone (top gondola station). The shuttle bus leaves at our main shop (113 Pirin St) at specific hours in the morning.

OPENING HOURS
• Sunday to Wednesday: 08:30 – 17:00. Lift pass sale for the next day between 16:30 – 17:00.
• Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 08:30 – 21:00. Lift pass sale for the next day between 16:30 – 21:00.
Cash desks at the Gondola upper station in Banderitsa Polyana, if going up with a shuttle service or driving to the ski zone.

The VIP lift pass is a more expensive pass that gives you access to the fast lane at the Gondola. It is valid only for the Gondola and not for the lifts on the mountain. It is really worth it when busy.
